Too modest to introduce myself among so many talents, of course.
My tendance would rather be to shoot images, just as they come to me with a need to decide of a frame very quickly, to fix situations that appeal to me... The important thing is, I suppose, the composition, the light, the harmony of the colours, the contrast and of course what is within the frame !

I was born in december 1949 in Brussels. My father was an architect and my mother, an artist-painter. I was quickly interested in music as well as in other arts. At the age of 8, I started studying the piano, which corresponds to the time I was given my first camera and began to shoot my first black and white pictures. When I was sixteen, I had the opportunity to take part in the filming of the Belgian film director Luc de Heusch's long feature film "Jeudi, on chantera comme dimanche" (On thursday, we'll sing like on sunday), with Marie-France Boyer, Bernard Fresson and Francis Lax. This unexpected and wonderful experience of living with the technical team and the actors looked like a dream and allowed me to shoot pictures on the set just next to the official photographer Virginia Leirens who taught me lots of tricks. Since then, I have had one single objective : getting into the world of the picture. After my studies in photography at the INRaCi (Institut de Radio-électricité et de Cinématographie - Brussels) and in cinematography at the INSAS (Institut National de Arts des Spectacles & techniques de diffusion - Brussels), I became a photographer, while working as a free lance cameraman for RTL Television "Flash de 20 heures" (evening news). Later on, I worked in different fields from direction to production of audiovisual programmes for companies and institutions (films, video's, slide-tape programmes, multivisions ...).
This professional experience, extended to the the creation of big events and to the development of interactive video programmes, till the design of multimedia achievements, gave me a panoramic view of the medias and the tools to be used for an optimized communication. After having collaborated to several campaigns in an advertising agency, I worked in CD-Rom editing, for instance with the IVT association on the learning of the French sign language (LSF - Langue des Signes Française). Today, I mostly work on the design, the direction and the management of multimedia programmes : websites, extranets, intranets, databases, and mostly interactive real time 3D programmes. However, I still continue to be involved in audiovisual production as a director, and sometime as the cameraman or/and the editor. Photography remains all the same a fascinating art, sometime a kind of a virus : the real photography, the one which does not lie, the one you really feel and strikes your eyes through the viewfinder, with the least special effects as possible. I have exhibited several times :

Je suis né en décembre 1949 à Bruxelles d'un père architecte, et d'une mère artiste-peintre. Très rapidement, je fus intéressé par la musique mais aussi par les autres arts. Juste après avoir commencé à étudier le piano à l'age de huit ans, je reçus mon premier appareil photo avec lequel je réalisai mes premières prises de vues en noir et blanc. A seize ans, j'eus la chance d'assister au tournage du long-métrage de Luc de Heusch, "Jeudi, on chantera comme dimanche", avec Marie-France Boyer, Bernard Fresson et Francis Lax. Cette expérience inattendue de la vie menée avec l'équipe technique et les comédiens du film m'a permis de faire des photos de plateau à côté de Virginia Leirens, photographe officielle du film, ce qui m'apprit plein de choses. Cette expérience féérique me donna l'envie de rentrer dans le monde de l'image et du spectacle et m'a guidé vers le cinéma et plus généralement vers l'image. Après avoir suivi les cours de l'INRaCi (Institut de Radio-électricité et de Cinématographie), puis surtout de l'INSAS (Institut National des Arts des Spectacles & techniques de diffusion), je me suis mis à travailler en free-lance comme caméraman pour le Flash de 20 heures de RTL et à participer à plusieurs court-mètrages en tant que cadreur et directeur de la photographie. Je travaillai également comme photographe d'architecture et participai à des nombreux reportages en industrie, fis des photos pour des agences et certains clients en direct. Progressivement, je passai à la réalisation et à la production de programmes audiovisuels d'entreprises et institutionnels (films, vidéos, diaporamas, multivisions...). Cette expérience professionnelle, étendue à la création de projets événementiels ambitieux et au développement de programmes interactifs, puis au multimédia, me confèrera une vision panoramique des moyens et des outils à utiliser pour une communication optimisée.
Après avoir participé à des campagnes de communication en agence, je me mis à travailler sur des projets d'éditions sur CD-Rom, avec l'association IVT notamment pour l'apprentissage de la langue des signes française (LSF). Aujourd'hui, je participe à la conception, la réalisation et la gestion de projets mutlimédias : sites Internet, Extranets, Intranets, bases de données, et surtout de 3D interactive en temps réel... Parallèlement, j'ai continué à participer à des productions audiovisuelles en tant que réalisateur, parfois en en assurant les prises de vues ou le montage. Pour moi, la photographie reste toutefois un art passionnant, voire une sorte de virus un peu obsessionnel : la vraie photographie, celle qui ne ment pas, celle que l'on ressent directement et qui vous touche dans l'instant, celle que l'on capte dans l'oeilleton de son appareil, avec le moins d'effets spéciaux possible ! J'ai aussi exposé à plusieurs reprises :
